On October 12 2006 Armenia ratified the European Convention on Cybercrime and the Additional Protocol to the Convention on Cybercrime concerning the criminalisation of acts of a racist and xenophobic nature committed through computer system

A new Criminal Code has been enacted and came into force on August 1, 2003:
